Script Trainee

Script trainees are in the initial or training phase to become script supervisors, which primarily involves learning the basics of documenting crucial information for production and post-production, as well as developing solid skills in securing and documenting connections of all types (continuity). Script trainees participate in production exclusively for training purposes and under the guidance of an experienced script supervisor, in order to be able to generate qualified young talent for the job.

Advanced script trainees may be able to independently supervise drones, splinters and 2nd units, provided that the continuity share is low. The responsible script supervisor is responsible for assessing whether a script trainee is able to do this.

Script trainee is (for the future) to be regarded as a training profession and linked to ordinary remuneration subject to social security contributions.

Participation in the preparation time of the respective script supervisor is mandatory.
